Six-Sigma Green Belt Training: We wanted to make you aware of the timing and dates for our Six-Sigma Green Belt training, associated with Project Connect, in the spring semester. This training will be hybrid training, online content and four in-person review sessions plus an examination review session, starting the week of 1/17. There is no incremental cost associated with the certificate programs, it is an optional component of your MBA curriculum. Click Here for More Information. 


Dance Blue Marathon: The UK MBA class is participating in Dance Blue, a yearlong fundraiser with proceeds going to the Golden Matrix Fund, which supports the kids of the DanceBlue Kentucky Children's Hospital Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Clinic. The actual marathon will be February 17 and 18th at Memorial Coliseum. Spring Day at Keeneland: On Saturday, April 14, 2018 (tentatively) come out to Keeneland Racetrack and enjoy the races with us in the Phoenix Room. MBA students, faculty, advisors, and their friends and family are all invited. Ticket prices are $40 per person, which includes a lunch buffet, Keeneland admissions and the opportunity to watch the races from a private upstairs room. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, December 10 and the payment deadline is Friday, January 12. Click Here to Register

    New Spring Electives: We have two additional electives for you to consider taking this spring (if your schedule permits) which are Design Thinking, taught in the College of Education and Law & Business of IP Management which is taught through the Law school. Design Thinking will be an online course and is valuable for those who want to understand an alternative method of problem solving that is being implemented across the business world. Space is limited to five students so please register quickly. The Law & Business of IP Management will be a mix of law and MBA students who are interested in understanding how to manage, protect and leverage IP in start-ups. Please note that you may take either of these electives in substitution of your present Spring elective(s) or in addition to your spring elective(s). 

    Graduation Announcement: If you plan on graduating this upcoming Spring semester (May 2018), please make sure to apply for the degree on your MYUK account. Once complete, make sure to send Beverly Kemper an email at so she can work on the graduation paperwork. Important: You will not be eligible to be considered for graduation in May 2018 unless the form is complete. 

    Study Room Reservations: Students are allowed up to 8 reservations at a time. Reservation can be made between 12hours and 28 days in advance. If one person is in a room you may join them in the room. Click Here for Instructions


    Winter One Year MBA Open House: The Gatton College of Business and Economics will be hosting a One Year MBA Open House event on Thursday, February 1st, 2018 at 5:30pm - 7:00pm in Woodward Events Hall. All undergraduate majors, young professionals and recent graduate are invited to attend to learn more about the One Year MBA. Registration for this event will open in early January.
