Certifications Courses: We have an upcoming certificate program on Global Strategy and Commerce starting the week of 1/8 in January. This is a three day program taking place the week of 1/8, designed to educate students on foundational aspects of international business. More details on the program can be found here. If you would like to participate in the Global Strategy and Commerce certificate program, please sign up by Wednesday, December 6. Also, we wanted to make you aware of the timing and dates for our Six-Sigma Green Belt training, associated with Project Connect, in the spring semester. This training will be hybrid training, online content and four in-person review sessions plus an examination review session, starting the week of 1/17. More details on the program can be found here. There is no incremental cost associated with the certificate programs, it is an optional component of your MBA curriculum.


    Spring Day at Keeneland: On Saturday, April 14, 2018 (tentatively) come out to Keeneland Racetrack. MBA students, faculty, advisors, and their friends and family are all. invited. Ticket prices will be determined soon, depending on the quality of the space, the food, and student attendance. Tickets include a lunch buffet, entry into Keeneland, and the opportunity to watch the races from a private upstairs room. The deadline to sign up is Sunday, December 10. Click Here to Register

    New Spring Electives: We have two additional electives for you to consider taking this spring (if your schedule permits) which are Design Thinking, taught in the College of Education and Law & Business of IP Management which is taught through the Law school. Design Thinking will be an online course and is valuable for those who want to understand an alternative method of problem solving that is being implemented across the business world. Space is limited to five students so please register quickly. The Law & Business of IP Management  will be a mix of law and MBA students who are interested in understanding how to manage, protect and leverage IP in start-ups. Please note that you may take either of these electives in substitution of your present Spring elective(s) or in addition to your spring elective(s). 

    Graduation Announcement: If you plan on graduating this upcoming Spring semester (May 2018), please make sure to apply for the degree on your MYUK account. Once complete, make sure to send Beverly Kemper, an email so she can work on the graduation paperwork. Important: You will not be eligible to be considered for graduation in May 2018 unless the form is complete. 

    S.T.A.R.R. Women’s Self-Defense. A free, three-day training course on reducing risk of assault, increasing awareness levels and learning offensive and defensive techniques in a safe environment, and with participation in a simulated fight against a UKPD officer. Open to all female students, faculty, staff and public, along with a free STARR T-shirt upon completion of course.
