STEM/MBA

A Dual Degree of the University of Kentucky's College of Arts & Sciences and Gatton College of Business and Economics

Accepting applications for the 2018 One Year MBA class, which begins in June.
The University of Kentucky's STEM/MBA dual degree is a unique program that intersects science, technology, engineering and mathematics with a versatile business knowledge needed to successfully manage within the high-tech business environment. Awarding both the Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration (MBA) degrees in just five years, candidates will build upon their technical expertise with the practical business knowledge of an MBA. Graduates of this program will emerge with unique skills giving them increased marketabability when navigating in today's competitive job market.

Admissions & Preparatory Courses

STEM majors at the University of Kentucky are eligible to apply for the STEM/MBA dual degree, which is coupled with the One Year MBA program. Submitted applications are considered on a rolling admissions cycle, so it is strongly recommended to apply early. We recommend applying by the first Priority Scholarship deadline which is February 15th. Each year, the final domestic application deadline for the One Year MBA program is May 11th and the international application deadline is January 15th (assuming there is still space in the program). Only STEM majors at the University of Kentucky qualify for this dual degree option, however other A&S majors from the University of Kentucky (and other institutions) can still apply for consideration into the One Year MBA program. Before applying, please review the Admissions Requirements, MBA Preparatory Courses and updated GMAT/GRE Waiver Policy

Program Description & Curriculum

Combine your technical expertise with a strong business knowledge.

In recognition of the increasing need for the integration of technology and business skills, the STEM/MBA dual degree program was established to give students with technical backgrounds in science, technology, engineering and mathematics additional leadership, critical thinking, communication, problem solving and team-building skills. While increasing their knowledge in areas such as economics, finance, marketing, management, supply chain, operations, and more; we believe STEM graduates equipped with an MBA will have the technical, analytical and business skills necessary to lead strategic initiatives in the high-tech, global business environment.
