What led to your decision to major in finance and economics?
I originally choose economics because I enjoyed the economics class I took in high school, but when I came to Kentucky and took my first class, I realized I have a passion for Economics. What led me to my major in finance was that I did equity research my sophomore year with Dr. Wendy Liu through the Chellgren Fellowship. I wanted to explore other aspects of business outside of Economics and I loved the research I did with Dr. Liu which led to me adding finance as a major.

Why did you choose Gatton?
I choose Gatton because I attended a SeeBlue preview night in St. Louis and I met some of the representatives from Gatton. After speaking with them throughout the night I knew that this college would be a great fit for me.

What do you find most rewarding about working at Gatton?
I love working in Gatton because it has allowed me to work with professors and staff in a different perspective from my role as a student.

What has been your proudest moment so far?
Winning the Lyman T Johnson Award for high achieving African American students at the University, which I received this past semester for the contributions I have made to Gatton and to UK.

What are your plans after graduation?
I will be working full-time at Goldman Sachs in New York, doing data analytics in their CIMD (Computer Interface to Message Distribution) department. In the next five years I plan to go back to graduate school as well.
